Java History

Java, an oops based programming language was developed by James Gosling in start of 1990.
initially, this was developed for television purposes like- setup box, etc.

James Gosling's team called it "Greentalk" and the extension was .gt at the very start, after that, they called it "Oak".
the oak is basically originated from an oak tree.

In some time they again change that name to "JAVA" which comes from an espresso bean.
the very first version of the java is jdk1.0.
and the current version of java is JAVA12.
